Motion activated pool alarm

May 23, 2010
Author: admin @ 5:52 am

I recently gave my friend one of my motion activated pool alarms

and I was amazed it how easy it was to install.  Within minutes her

pool was safeguarded and she could rest easy knowing if her son, or

any child animal or even an adult were to fall into the pool she would

instantly know because an alarm inside the house would sound off.

I feel like everyone with a pool should have an alarm like this so I

am running a special from now until June 2oth.  The motion activated

pool will be on sale.  Additionally,  I will be posting video of just how

simple the installation is.  Step by step.  You won’t even have to bother

with the directions, just watch the video.

Swimming pool safety, motion activated swimming pool alarm

March 10, 2010
Author: admin @ 6:08 am

Summer is quickly approaching…As we hit the gym & tanning bed and anticipate the coming days on the beach it is important that we take a step back & consider the dangers that unfortunately come along with the lazy days of summer. Of course, by now we all know we should wear sunblock & tan from 8:00am till 10:00am then again from 2:00pm till 5:00pm avoiding the times when the sun’s UV rays are the strongest. But, the type of danger I am personally concerned about is child water safety. We can all do things like make sure our fence is locked if we have a pool & supervise our children or those children who are in care while they in the water.
I would like to introduce to you a fairly new product that can help you to secure your pool even when you are not there to supervise…re: your child is in the care of a sitter or your child or another child sneaks into your backyard & falls into the pool.
The product I would like to introduce to you is the pool alarm.
This product sits on the side of your pool. If a child, adult or animal, falls into the pool, the alarm will sound in your home alerting you. You now know someone or something has fallen in and can get them out. The swimming pool alarm is affordable and can potentially save your child’s life. I can’t imagine not putting one in my pool.
Have a great summer and be safe!

Safe with my cell phone stun gun at Mardi Gras

February 21, 2010
Author: admin @ 5:46 pm

Well, Mardi Gras was a blast this year!  The Saints won the superbowl!  Geaux Saints!

And, just about everyone was in a great mood!

I stayed at hotel Monteleon in the French Quarter, visited the Carousel Bar in the Hotel and

strolled up and down Bourbon like a tourist.

While it was an exceptionally busy Mardi Gras the crime rate was relatively low.

Of course, you have a few drunken fella’s that are going to try and pick up on a couple

of girls strolling along Bourbon unescorted by males.  It was very funny to watch

the expressions on their faces as the sparks flew from the end of my orange pretender

cell phone stun gun  to let the guys know that I really didn’t need them to escort me.

Yes, I felt very safe at Mardi Gras with my cell phone stun gun.  It was quite an attention

getter as well.  There was even a commercial during the Superbowl featuring an old guy

stunning a young guy on his neck at the bank & taking his Dorito’s. Stun guns seem to be gaining

popularity as they prove to be an effective, non lethal self defense weapon.  Next time I will

have someone tape me when I send them running back to mommy.

As owner of mymacespace & narrator of this blog, I would like to introduce myself & thank you for visiting.  I encourage feedback and will answer all questions concerning personal self defense products in a timely fashion.

Please feel free to post your relevant comments, recommendations & suggestions.

This month I would like to share with you my recent article on stun guns or tasers explaining how they work and

the differences in each as well as the different types available to you.  Enjoy!

Stun guns and tasers are both effective in providing protection

for you and your family.

There are various size’s and styles of stun guns. There are

batons, cell phone stun guns, stun master guns, just to

name a few. You can purchase these devices offering various degrees

of voltage ranging anywhere from 50,000 to 950,000 volts.

The stun gun works by discharging this voltage from two

electrodes protruding from the end of the device. When the trigger

is pulled while touching the assailant high voltage and low

amperage go from the electrodes through the assailants clothes and

into his body. The pulsed current causes the assailants muscle’s

to rapidly constrict go through a superfast refractory period then

constrict over and over, thus depleting him of his glucose. The entire

process takes only seconds and is extremely painful. If the stun gun is

held on the assailant after he falls, the muscles will cramp up temporarily

leaving him disabled. At this time you can get away and call the police.

The taser on the other hand is a hand held device which shoots darts into

the assailants skin. This keeps you at a safe distance from the assailant.

In police studies, the TASER C2 has a higher instant incapacitation rate

than a 9mm hand gun. These units can be purchased with an optional laser

light. They can reach an assailant up to 15 feet away. They work on the

same principle as the stun gun effecting the central nervous system but,

sends a more powerful punch. They are more significantly more expensive

and there are also more laws regulating there use. Before

firing the taser it must first be registered. Registration instructions

are provided with each unit. There are different types to choose from. There

are fewer styles to choose from but, many different colors and even accessories

such as a holster with a built in MP3 player are available.

I hope you found this information useful.
